Dolphin and Whale Research Project
The
program offers
the unique opportunity for volunteers working as a Dolphin and Whale
research volunteers The project is an internationally recognized
marine mammal research institute for research and conservation of
Southern African marine mammals. We need to know more about the Western
Indian Ocean, and particularly Southern African whales, dolphins, seals and
other marine animals.

Great White Shark Research
Project
Shark
populations worldwide are increasingly threatened, and in scientific
circles there is still research needed to fully understand and interpret
shark behavior. Shark education features as a prominent part of the

Penguin Rescue Center
Project
The
African Penguin is the only penguin species
that breeds in Africa. More than 40% of African Penguins
breed on the islands between Saldanha Bay and Cape Town, with
almost another 40% breeding within Algoa Bay near Port
Elizabeth. The present population is about 10% of that at the
start of the 20th century when it was estimated at over 1.45
