The children at the Creche were very adorable and the two teachers were just amazing in their dedication to educate about 40-50 children every single day. After completing your project join a exciting
Garden Route Trip to Cape Town.

Enjoy travelling between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town along the Garden Route, we will arrange you bus pass that will transport you from door to door and all your accommodation along the way.

This option can be extended or adjusted to your needs, you can even just let us arrange your transport and you can stay or leave any of the towns whenever you want.

Day 1: Departure from All Africa Volunteers Travel Lodge in Jeffreys Bay between 8.30 – 9.00. Leave towards Storms River (arrival time: between 10.15 -10.45). From the accommodation in Storms River it’s possible to do the following activities: Tsitsikamma National Park, Bloukrans Bungy, Nature's Valley, Waterfall Zipslides and The Crags Sanctuaries. The accommodation takes care of departure and pick-up for a small extra rate depending on how many people are going. Overnight in Storms River.

Day 2: In the morning the Baz Bus leaves between 10.15-10.45 towards Knysna. Where it arrives between 12.45 and 13.15. The adventure centre at the backpackers can assist you with arranging things to do in Knysna and the surrounding area. Some options: para-gliding, scuba-diving, Monkeyland, Knysna Elephant Park and bungy jumping. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 3: Between 12.45 and 13.15 the Baz Bus leaves to George. Where it arrives between 14.15 and 15.00. From George you will take a shuttle bus (between 15.15 and 15.30) to Oudtshoorn. In the afternoon you will have some time to explore the surrounding of the hostel. There are restaurants, movies, museum, supermarkets and banks. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Day 4: In the morning you will depart between 8.15 and 8.30 to do a day trip. You are driven by bus to the Cango Caves, after your tour you will be picked up and dropped off at the Ostrich Farm and then you can walk to the Cango Wildlife Ranch (right next door). Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Day 5: At 12.30 the shuttle bus departs to George. Between 14.45 and 15.00 the Baz Bus departs from George towards Cape Town. On the way you can enjoy the sights when the bus is driving through Mossel Bay, Hermanus/Bot River, Stellenbosch/Gordon's Bay and as final destination Cape Town. Where the bus will arrive between 21.30 and 22.15. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 6: Today you will go on the Cape Peninsula daytour. Enjoy the guides commentary, fabulous scenic cycling and easy hiking. Cruis through Camps Bay beach, visit the harbour of Hout Bay and check out local crafts. Enjoy a light breakfast snack and take in the breathtaking views along Chapman’s Peak drive. See the endangered (and very entertaining) penguins at Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town and end up at Cape Point for your exhilarating cyle. Enjoy a delicious picnic alongside the ocean and a leisurely stroll to the most South Western point of Africa. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 7: Today you have time to explore the city. The travel centre of the backpackers organises different day tours, such as: wine routes, township, whale watching (sept-nov), cape point and the peninsula and city explorer bus. Overnight in Cape Town.
